Default Electric Club Car 48v

I just bought 48v Club Car with low speed set on the computer would like to set at med low speed is supposed to make the batteries last longer. Has anyone had any experience to back this up. Low is really slow but it will be for ranch use mainly and could live with it.

I could program this for you if you are close to League City, TX. Basically, IMO, the low speed setting sets the controller to minimum amperage draw so will allow you to go farther on a charge.........but who wants to go slow?????

In theory
lower amps = slower speed = longer to go a mile (batteries engaged longer)
More amps = more speed = less time to go a mile (batteries engaged less)

so it "= out in the end" since for faster speeds U are using the battery less time
