By now you are getting the basics down for your 5 solenoid speed control cart 5 micros (small clicks) fire the 5 solenoids (big clicks) and away she goes unless one of the ten things don't work. Solenoid #1 on the drivers side is the master. It must switch on or the other 4 speed solenoids do not get power.... Your cart is 25, 30 years old? The micros & solenoids have switched each time the peddle has been pushed? 1 million ~ 2 million times? I don't know... I do know you can soon figure out which one failed today and replace it sending the cart on down the lane...... but what about tomorrow and the next switch or solenoid? Your best bet for reliable service is to replace 5 micro and 5 solenoids now You will be good to go for another 25 years. .... in my humble opinion

I agree with you humble opinion. Contacts wear out on both. It's like changing one battery in a 5yr old pack, you want to ride or work on it.

You're right. I'm learning a lot, and I may very well replace all the solenoids while I'm at it.

Where's the best place to get them online???

On another note...

Last night as I was putting the cart away after the new years celebration, I had 5 little clicks and no big clicks at all.

Wouldn't move once again.

I'm hoping it was just an empty charge, but something tell me that's not the case because my lights were working fine, and usually when the batteries get low, I get warning like it slows down to less than half speed.

I put it on charge last night and I'll take a look at it again when it's done.

If the master does not close then none of the solenoids will close(click). The master may be faulty or the master's micro may be at fault......

Hmmmm sounds like when I switched solenoids #1 & #2 that I might have switch with #2 being on it's way out as well. I guess I could switch it with #5 to test.

I should probably give in and order all new solenoids.

I just bought all new solenoids for $107.00 I hope that was a good deal. I'm guessing they'll be here next week.

It sounds to me like the primary micro is intermitent, thats odd that the 2nd solenoid went out that quick.
