NOT trying to be combatant at all... And regardless of how I sound, I do appreciate the input. But yes I suppose I was a little irritated that simply posting some information about the difference between two bulbs for people to see, and it automatically turns into a something is wrong with my cart thread.

Cheers!

The amperage draw is the same as stock 55w lights so there should be no problems with the set up.
The reason for the appearance of more light is the increase in Kelvin scale (color) from the stock 3500K to 4000K which will create a whiter light but is less effective on wet roads. They are overdriven by design and traditionally have a much shorter lifespan than regular halogen bulbs.

Sounds like your idea of a "fantasy" might be the problem Gleemo

i wasn't knockin' you're upgrade... simply adding info regarding the quest for lumens.

old mec is correct in that a increase in current consumption should be accompanied by a check of wiring & converter delivery capabilities; something he has seen often neglected in the field. i don't think anyone meant to criticize your findings! were just talking shop!
