[COLOR="Red"][/CFor this mode of corrosion protection to function there must be simultaneously present an electron pathway between the anode and the metal to be protected (e.g., a wire or direct contact) and an ion pathway between the anode and the metal to be protected (e.g., water or moist soil) to form a closed circuit; thus simply bolting a piece of active metal such as zinc to a less active metal, such as mild steel, in air will not furnish any protection.OLOR]

Another benefit of aluminum besides anti-rust, etc. is that it is very light weight. As we all know modern high performance engines and frames such as Corvette Z06, Ferrari, and Tesla (electric) are opting to use this space age material as it proves to be strong and light weight.

The information below is the dry weight without batteries or modifications direct from the manufacturer. Most often electric golf carts weigh less than gasoline golf carts.

Club Car Precedent Gas: 606 Pounds

a electric golf cart has no shortage of electrode potentials nor electrolyte. every metal to metal connection has potential to act as an electrode. very little electrolyte is needed for galvanic corrosion to occur. morning dew, high humidity, batteries w/vents, salt air, wet roads, etc are all electrolytic contributors.
