extra grunt
Hi Guys,
I have club car golf cart. 2006 model,DS 48 volt, IQ controller. can it be speeded up and how do I go about it. I don't need to do wheel stands around club house, just a little faster over ground and not labour up hill. Thanks in advance, Rick. |

Re: extra grunt
SpeedyLink; Plum Quick both site sponsors (Above),
CC dealer can order speed code 4 which is the equiv. of SpeedyLink, all will add more speed but of the 3 ,only the motor will add low end torque. Read this http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...peedylink.html |

Re: extra grunt
If you still have original batterys I would check them out as they can make for slower operation? Speed slows down a little at a time as batterys get older and this just might be part of your problem? If not 4 guage cables help a little, but main gain is having dealer raise IQ controller code to 4. Products like Speedy Link help some ( not on torque just speed ) but I have not seen enough to confirm being worth while ( several local owners tried and went back to stock set up and had code raised instead ) and didn't seem to add any torque for hill climbing? Like GLEMMO says for a little more you can put a Plumb Quick motor and is a good bet for additional power for hill climbing as well as speed.

Re: extra grunt
You are so very welcome. I didn't think about shipping problems to and from Austrailia, OLD BRAIN you know? Might be cheaper for you to pay extra no core charge fee ( I think its $100.00 ) and save shipping both ways? I would check about that and maybe you can sell motor locally?
Question-- Does Australia do like Canada and charge big fee's or taxes for items coming into country as well as out? Some years ago I had to ship my brothers stuff from Hawaii to British Columbia and it cost my niece more than value of items just to get them, plus all the shipping fees? Then to top it off I had my brothers ashes shipped to her and they put a medical hold for 6 months so nothing contaminated would get into Canada? How more sterile can ashes be for gods sake? Anyway good luck and contact forum anytime when you have issues on your cart and remember forum loves pictures. |

Mate that is just a joke ,holding up ashes, their completely sterile. I should have remembered I was looking for top Daiwa overhead reel,USA was the best price, but it was going to cost ninety odd bucks to ship. I found a place in Aussie Alltrax I think the controller name is AXE, He told me he needed make and model of controller or motor so he could send model that is compatible, does that sound right to U. |
