Re: Need new batteries
WELCOME TO THE FUN WORLD OF CARTING.
You didnt say where you live so impossible to give any local ideas? I try and stay near to home as shipping batterys is VERY EXPENSIVE? Many go to Walmart, Sams Club, etc but even when you do order batterys from them I have seen lots of problems as you dont always get same brand of manufatured battery that you ordered? Our area also gets batterys with date stamps varing as much as 10-12 months, while you should get all same date to give best performance? The story around my area is "batterys are all the same so it makes no difference" which is not true? In looking for batterys remember that US, Crown, Trojan brands are what you should be looking for. I know I will hear about this but I like Trojan 8 volt batterys best for my own personal use. |

Re: Need new batteries
Thanks for info. I live in Cape Coral Fl. Cart has Trojan batteries in it and they are limping badly at this point. Just trying to find a way around the big ticket these batteries go for. They are worth as much as the cart!

Re: Need new batteries
Around $500 will get you 6x8v batteries at Sam's Club. They have about the same specs as the Trojan T860's.
I just bought some in October and they were all dated 10/10. |

Re: Need new batteries
We use mainly US, definitely a good battery. I've heard excellent things about Crown as well. Trojan is without a doubt the one with the most history. Club Car has used Trojan batteries for years until last year. Either of the three should suffice just fine.
