Default Help with trying to hookup speakers and amp.

I am new to the site and trying to find out how to hookup speakers and an amp to my cart. I was just wondering how and where to run the amp.
Thanks for the help

look around on ebay they sell this kit for jetskis its a mini amp and 2 speakers.what kinda batt setup? 4-12's??? if you have the 4 12's get a 48v to 12v reducer you will not want to run a amp off 1 batt. 2 reasons it will wear it down .and with some bigger amps if you get less then 11.5v it will blink off.if you have 6 8v batt. still get a reducer. you could hook it up on 16v but you will tear up 2 batt. faster.here i a good little setup http://cgi.ebay.com/POLYPLANAR-MP3-K...item35af2fb55d

I tried to go the "ipod & amp" direction with painfull results. I purchased 2 of the Pyle brand, 1 for each cart. One never worked and the other lasted about 10 minutes. Bit the bullit and just put a stereo system with the ipod plug in the front. I choose to use a marine set by Jenson. Sounds ok and it comes with speakers and a cover to keep out splashes. The marine construction helps it to last longer. You are going to have to put a 48vdc to 12vdc convertor on your cart. Don't be cheap here, it'll bite you in the end. Go ahead and get atleast 30 amp capacity. Thats enough amperage for the stereo, lights, extra set of driving lights (stock lights are not very good), 12v outlet, with room to grow. Thats my 2 cents worth.

Captain, thanks. It's not that I'm trying to be cheap I just was really worried that hooking up lights and a radio would put a drain on the batteries and not really knowing anything about the cart system did not want to screw anything up until I learn more. Thanks for the info I am learning more and more every day.

Wasn't implying that your were being cheep. More of a heads up than anything else. I started with a 20 amp convertor and had to end up switching to a 30 amp model. Just trying to help point you in the right direction and save you a few bucks and headaches along the way man.
