Default Re: Replacing F&R Switch

Some good news. When I was changing the F&R switch I must have pulled too hard on the wire going to the v glide micro switch. It was off. I put it back on and all is working. I also found that the yellow and blue wire were taped together instead of the last owner replacing the F&R micro switch. I took that connection apart and connected it correctly to the micro switch.
One more thing. I need to fix some wires on the negative stud on the last battery. The nut is frozen on the stud. I don't want to turn it too hard. The wires on that terminal are loose. Any suggestions on how to loosen that nut without damage.

Squirt a small amount of wd40 on it let it for a few hours, then go for it , try turning it in both directions tighter/looser a few times , TAP it strait on with a hammer .
If it still strips, get a threading tool and re-thread it to the next size up .

I did put some wd40 on it an I am waiting for that to work. The threaded stud turns as well as the nut and there is not enough sticking up to grab the treads. I will just wait a while and try again.

I want to thank you fall all you have helped me with here.

Can you post a pic of this battery terminal? It sounds like you have a drilled & tapped repair post in there...? That will change how you go about this.
