Default Newbie question

I'm looking for my first cart. I think I want electric. Cart will be used fairly infrequently; primarily at campgrounds to haul the kids around and such. Electric seems to require less maintenance and I won't have fuel issues when it sits for a while. I have an opportunity to buy an older Club Car for about a grand which seems fair. Are there any years to stay away from or anything to look for? Gonna check it out Monday.

Thanks!

I would start at at least 96 and go from there.

My opinion get a 1996 up Club Car BUT dont get a shunt motor ( rocker type switch under right leg ) I like series motor and controls ( F&R lever under right leg ).
Biggest item to look out for is OLD BATTERYS try for 1-2 years max as your looking at $500-$900 depending on quality and voltage.
