Default No Forward After Upgrade

Hello,
I have just finished installing and wiring my 36v '94 CC Ds from resistor coils to solid state. My problem is it will not go in forward but it will go in reverse. I can hear the solenoid click whenever the pedal is depressed in forward but the tires don't move. I have installed a curits 0-5k pb-6 and a 480 amp logisystem controller.
I have checked the wiring twice and it seems to be right. however, i am not fully sure if i have the wiring going to and from the motor correctly.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to BGW.

If its moving in reverse chances are good the motor wiring is right. Check to make sure your F/R makes contact in forward direction. (with a meter) Wiggle it back and forth a bit while pressing the peddle a little bit. It might catch. If it does then F/R need some work. Check the pot ohms in Forward direction.

Alright thanks roady for the information. I will try wiggling it but i bought has a dial that you turn to whatever thing your testing for and on the ohm it has 20M, 200k, 20k, 2000, and 200 and since a pb is o-5k i believe i may need a different meter.

No, put it on 20K. That'll work to check pot.

To check the F/R put it on the continuity symbol. Might beep when you put the leads together.

alright thanks i will try that. This may be a dumb one but how would I test the pot box and F/R switch. Im not sure where to put the (+) and (-) contacts from the volt meter.

Doesn't really matter. Check the throttle pot at the controller so you know the throttle signal is actually getting there.

The F/R your just looking for continuity for the forward connection.

Alright thank you for the help. I will go give it a shot to see what I can come up with. Or bring back to you and what you can tell me my problem.

If it runs in reverse usually the Pot is okay... The system works....Look to the F&R micros or F&R wiring? Something more directional is my guess.

I cleaned the contacts on the f/r switch but still dont work. if i push the tire forward while its in forward it goes in reverse so it seems it wants to go in reverse either way.
Should i use the microswitch on the F/R switch and link it to the potbox micro?

Did you check them with a meter? Both throttle and F/R...... If it's going in reverse both ways then you have wiring issues with the main cabling.
