Default Pathway same as DS?

I am considering purchasing a Club Car 2003 Pathway. I will need to change the seat and add enclosures at the minimum. I have been to told that the Pathway is basically a street legal DS. If so, does that mean that the DS mods will fit the Pathway? Also, does anyone know the specs as far as range and speed for this model Club Car?

On a seperate note, can a person install four 12V batteries in place of six 8V to get the same 48V output?

Thanks, Derek

On parts differences on Pathway I think outwardly they are the same , only motors, controllers and differentials as I remember are different? But to be sure contact TAHOE DAWGZ71, please be patiant as he works long hours at dealership.
As to putting 4- 12 volt batterys in place of 6- 8 volt batterys you will cut distance traveled between charges, shorten battery life considerable and often slow carts down some what?
EXAMPLE 12 volt Trojan battery model T-1275 is 150 amp hour rated, while 8 volt T-875 has 170 amp hour rating and a T-890 is rated for 190 amp hour rated?

Than you that helps a lot.

Great to know about the batteries. I have GEM with six brand new Trojan 12V batteries and I was going to put four of these into the Pathway if it made sense - but thanks to your knowledge now know it doesn't make sense. Thanks again

The only thing I found on my "Pathway" thats different or extras is front brakes, turn signals, brake lights, windshield, windshield wiper, roll bar, speedometer, and 18 digit vin. number. The motor is the same and controller is the same. I'm not sure about the differential, I was told they were geared for higher speeds. Tahoe DawgZ71 should be able to tell you anything you want to know about the "Pathway" models.

Thanks - I'm feeling much more certain of my purchase knowing that the DS after market parts will work. I'll also contact TAHOE DAWGZ71 since he seems to be the factory pro. Thanks again.

gcs13, where is the vin # located on your Pathway, I too have one and am working on getting it registered with the state of Florida as a LSV or NEV. Thank you.
