Default Proper Charging Technique

I run a fleet for a golf course in California. We have 80 carts and only 40 chargers currently. The first 40 carts get a full charge at night, but the second 40 only get about 4-6 hours of charge. We try to rotate which carts get the full charge every other night. Will this process hurt the batteries in the long run? We have 08 Club Car Precedent IQ's. Thank you.

It is bound to shorten life of batterys, how much depending on how low they get each day before and after each short charge cycles. Proper charging requires charger be installed after EACH USE and allowed to run until charger turn off on its own. You are causing the OBC to start all over if unhooked before cycle is completed? By rotating charge to each cart you are doing the best possible without purchasing more chargers.
For good info on OBC controlling of Power Drive Chargers go to DrBob site as he has done indepth research on charging functions.

how much current is going to the carts that are only seeing 4-6 hours when you pull them? if its low, like 2-3 amps, then the charger has completed the bulk phase and has moved on to the conditioning phase. if they are being bulk charged daily and conditioned every other day, i wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. so, are you murdering them? no. are are you killing them slowly? maybe...

you could always recommend investing in some charger gnomes to swap the carts over in the middle of the night.
