Testing the motor
I have a 97 Club Car 48 volt. When I press the gas pedal the solenoid clicks but the cart does not move. I hear a whinning type noise so I jacked up the rear wheels to see if it was a lack of power but still nothing happened. I have some other issues such as the cart won't charge. Charger clicks but doesn't turn on. THe batteries are good and I seemed to have about 40 volts to the solenoid. I tried to jump the solenoid to no effect. I tried resetting the OBC but that did nothing.
I was wondering if there was a way to jump the motor directly to see if the motor was any good. My cart is the one with the rocker switch for F/R and no tow/run switch. I am beginning to really hate golf carts |

Re: Testing the motor
Ok 2 ways to check to find problem I hate either one of them,
1) jump the relay on charger and force charge the batteries (proves maybe a bad relay in charger). 2) take the neg end loose from the controller and put on the neg side #6 battery. this will tell if trouble with the OBC. |

Re: Testing the motor
focus on the charger first. Fishing Dude's procedure will likely get you charging again. whats is the no-load voltage of your battery string?
