Good job! Thanks SV1...that's just what I needed. I probably can't get to it 'til this weekend, but I'm looking forward to digging into the problem. There's probably somebody else wondering about the same problem so I will get back here and post findings.

Thanks everyone. We just finished testing and have determined it is the speed sensor. No voltage change while turning rear wheel. We took the old sensor off and there doesn't appear to be any adamage or anythng to try and clean or fix. We'll be looking for a new one now and wonder if there are vendors on here who offer this sensor for sale? Frank

Yep called one listed at the top....turns out there were two different sensors used in the 06 model and ours is a 'dealer only' type. The sensor we have has two bolt/screws to hold on a cup type sensor. Any help is always appreciated! Frank

A parts dealer mentioned the magnet, under the sensor, bolted to the motor may be cracked. I have seen he magnet and would like to take it off to inspect properly. If anyone has taken the magnet off I would appreciate knowing just how to un-bolt it correctly. Frank

I thought they were both "dealer only"...... Where are you guys buying the flat GE speed sensors?

Just remove the bolt and it'll come right off. It's pretty simple on that style motor that you've got.

Thanks TahoeDawg, I was wondering if it was reverse threaded or had to be held somewhere to keep from turning.

We took the magnet off the motor today and it looked fine, not broken or cracked. It came off easily as TahoeDawg said it would. One thing caught us a little by suprise was the fact that it ran the same without the sensor being reconnected.

Does anybody know if these are available other than the dealer.....$188 ouch!
