Default 06 CC Precedent Acceleration Problem

Hello, we have had this cart for a few years now and use it fairly regularly. It would max to 15 mph or so and all of a sudden it accelerates normally but only to approx 7 mph. We drove it several miles and it did not seem to get weak or have the lights dim, but tops out at about 7mph. We have done no modifications or anything that would suggest a change on our part. Any ideas or suggestions?

Measure entire battery pack voltage and post the results here.

Hi Gleemo, I took the multimeter to several combinations of terminals and the highest reading I have is 50.9 v. I'm sure there's a proper way to take the reading...what would you suggest.

Check the plug going into your motor making sure it's making a full connection.

Scubabud, they seem tight and fit. I'm thinking you are referring specifically to the orange ,green, and black wired plug...is that correct?

Mine is Green, Red and Black. It's the triangle plug coming out of the motor and if unplugged I believe it will default the motor to the lowest speed. The speed sensor can be bad in the motor as well causing the same problem. Others here like Tahoedawg can be of greater service in diagnosing your problem.

This is only a guess but if batterys ( check each one and then total pack ) are ok and brakes are not dragging, there are many things that can cause the problem but two posibilities are----
One-is the MCOR pedal control under passenger floor?
Two-could be the speed sensor connected to end of motor?
Contact TAHOE DAWG to confirm.

Thanks Old Mec, that's where I'm at now. Trying to figure out how to isolate whether it is the MCOR or speed sensor on the motor. I did a search and see TAHOE DAWG Z71, but can't tell how to contact him. Some help would be much appreciated!

To contact him go to tahoedawgz71 and send him a PM ( private message ) and have patients as he is very busy at CC dealership as shop foreman in Augusta where he works and at home with his young family.
