Default royal purple

i have a cc ds iq 48v 2003 and i wanted to know if 10-w30 royal purple will work in the rear end or do i need straight 30 w

CC recommends the use of 30 weight, so its your cart?? I like synthetic oils but I stick with called for correct weights.

so you are saying go with 30w and not 10-w30. yes it is my cart and it is going to be 54 on sun here in illinois and i am going to work on my cart all day. also putting on 4 gauge wires. thanks for your help

correct. a multigrade oil has additives that allow it to perform at huge temperature variations. this is not needed for a gearbox. they likely specify 30w to avoid leaks, accelerated breakdown of seals, or something of the sort.
