1970's caroche wiring

im not sure of the year as all tags are nowhere to be found but i havent seen a diagram that matches mine. It desperatly need rewiring, but idon't trust what was there. its going to need new resistors but I'm still trying to find out year. is there any other way to tell year without any numbers? I know it has 4 speeds and three resistors

The diagram in STICKIES titled "1970-1974 Club Car Caroche Wiring" is correct. After so many years you might have almost anything jury rigged to your cart? Have you considered the change out to modern system for this great classic cart? The use of a PB-6, solid state controller, 6 guage wiriing, and modern F&R will make a world of difference in performance and battery life. No need to generate wasted heat when you could be moving right along.

yes it would be great but i am kind of on a budget and would like to keep it true to form as much as possible. thanks for the tip though, now i can get started. i talked to a club car mechanic today and he told me i was wasting my money and should buy a new cart but i like the style and classic nature. some people just have no imagination!!!!!!!!!

Tell your CC mechanic that you appreciate the older carts and wish to bring one back to life, not just have a cart like everyone else has. I am with you about Caroche carts ( I wish I could find one to restore myself ) they are different looking and there should be more people like you restoring a CLASSIC CC.
I understand your need for saving funds as I am trying to live on a OBAMA DOLLAR RETIREMENT FAST DECRESSING VALUE INCOME?? If your needs for parts includes new solenoids ( these go bad very often ) and resistor coils ( crack and burn up mounting board ) and possible micros inside speed control box ( some parts no longer available unless whole new box purchased ) it would be cheaper to go UPDATED and have the advantages of modern more effeciant available parts?

is there no desire to rebuild something old anymore? it seems like everyone i talk to, except on this site, tells me i am wasting my money.. what the hell is wrong with people, do they have no vision? this cart has way more body lines and character than any new cart. sorry i know its not on topic, but i needed to vent. FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE REBUILDING OLD CARTS KEEP IT UP.

There are lots of us out there that want to perserve old things. Just look at Hemmings auto parts catalogs as an example, last one I got was over 350 pages. All these old auto's, motor cycles, scooters, farm machinery, Homes, etc being restored even when the economy is in the toilet. Look at all the TV home repair shows that stress old home restoration. The main thing is most people dont know how? Many will learn like myself after owning a auto truck garage for 45 years I was forced to retire because of health. What did I do I went to local vocational school and learned auto body repair, quality painting, upholstery replacement so that I could bring back several old motor cycles I had and several antuqe autos sitting out back. Over a 20 year period I restored 8 motor cycles, and 6 autos, 4 scooters, 7 whizzer bikes, built 3 custom controlled and body modified handicap golf cart conversions.
Yes many people would rather sit on their butts and watch the TV and accept what the media-governmet wants us to watch, believe, and VOTE their way? The USA has breed generations of DO NOTHINGS by giving them funds to live off rather than work for, allow them to breed in huge quanities ( more kids more funds ) allow millions of dollars ( why not money comes free? ) thrown away in DRUGS to destory our countrys brains?

Hi! I have a 1979 CC Caroche I can tell you that it has Hydralic Brakes, and the speed switch is under the dash works the micros off the CAM for speed, and just replace all the Micros. I have restored 6 CC which I bought or just given to me because no one wanted them. Everyone who see's these CC can't beleave they are the same ones. I repair the motor's if needed to the differential bearings seal's gaskets what ever it takes even weld the frames if broken. I also repaint and do the body work it takes me a long time to do one. But I refuse to be a couch potatoe head. The doctors tell me to do nothing but Ive been working on Club Car's since 2002, I'm a stroke victom, Forced to retire, maintenance and supervisor of 30 years. Wake up everyday thanking God I'm on this side of the Grass. Love the old carts. JOE

Good for you JOE 100 I sure wish some one would give me a Caroche as I love the lines and hydraulic brakes, etc. I too recovered from a stroke, but in 1980 caused in my case by an industrial accident. At my advanced age ( 78 ) I'm not able to do much anymore but WILL NOT give up and sit down until I die? Even after I was unable to walk I still work off the seat of my handicap scooter and my latest project was the custom body shown in my avatar.
See RACEGUY there are many of us out there.

Mostly U can make 2 choices , 1 make money $$ or 2 make a difference .
And unfortunately most of the time the are mutually exclusive.

I spent +2,500.. and 2 years restoring a deceased uncles 1965 Allis Chalmers and then gave it to his great grandson .
And Yes everyone except his great grandson thinks I'm crazy.
