81-94 DS Brake quetion

Do the older DS cars use the star adjuster wheel? I don't have a picture to reference for the older carts.

Never mind, I found the answer.

1992 was the first year that I am aware of to use the self adjusting brakes. Prior to that there was a 8mm bolt like head covered by rubber boot at top of backing plate that when turned in expanded shoes.

Yea, that's what I just found, didn't realize the 1994 service manual I had covered the older brakes. I believe from what I am seeing it's 91-94 with 95 being the first year of the star adjuster.

To confirm my old memory my sourse was Club Car Parts Direct on line catalog and it shows 84-91 as being old style while 92 and up had self adjusting brakes

Funny because I was looking at the Nivel catalog which says 81-94... and the 94 manual I have shows the same as anything pre-92....
