Default battery power monitors

On the 2006 CC we have, it has a little yellow light indicator which I presume is an idiot light of sorts. Can someone please suggest a power meter to install that would be more indicative of batteries. And/or is their a guage to install that will help monitor the batteries even better than just what is in reserve.

Digital is best and most accurate ( many are adjustable for accuracy ) and a little harder to install, while a anolog ( auto needle type ) meter is cheapest and easiest to install. Both require some learning curve as while in operation will show wide range of readings.
In either case be sure and install about a 5 amp fuse for wing-meter protection nearest battery sourse.

They can be relied upon to not only tell you when to recharge but monitor your usage to insure you have enough power to get back home without hurting the pack or your electronics. They are helpful in analyzing the charging cycles also. All of this is valuable information that everybody else is just guessing at????

I bought this one for $15 from an electronics company. I would question it's water resistance but I don't have a waterproof requirement. I've had it for the last 4 months without problems. My voltage runs up to 59v without issues and it is accurate when checked against my meters.

OLD MEC can you elaborate on the fuse for wing meter protection?
