Default battery "type" question

One more and I am fixing supper...

Why do I not see any mention of the gel type batteries being used in a cart? I use Optima batteries in my boats all the time.

Look at the amp/hour ratings between gel cells and FLA's.

Other reasons are slower allowable charging rate and COST OF PURCHASE.
