Default Battery cable upgrade

Just bought 07 cc Iq cart 48v everything stock, 3rd speed setting,4th on the way,runs 14mph. Question is will upgrading to bigger batt. cables do anything for me? Any advise?

bigger cables allow for more current. you won't see much if any improvement in speed, but should help with available torque. where the bigger cables shine is when you start modifying the drivetrain; larger wheels & tires, beefier motor, etc.

gotta start somewhere... build some cables from welding wire and start looking at motor and controllers. welcome to the ADDICTION...
