I just like to get to the root of the issue, LOL. Let's face it, if it don't have three wires to the tail lights, it don't matter WHAT the seller said.

Well,,,there are 3 wires looks like 2 red one black....the only part i seen under the floor was a little round pad with a screw through it.....i didn't see any wires around it,,,maybe one white wire running close to it,,,,i checked the bulbs there ok...the only thing that little pad did was take up slack in the cable i think,,,what else can i do.................Thanks

Trace the wires from the tail lights forward and see where they lead to.

Owning an electric car and not owning a digital volt meter is a sin and U'll pay for it later.
U can generally buy a decent Volt Ohm meter at Lowes, Harbor Freight, Northern Tools, Homdepot for $20.00 or less .

In a day or show , have a NEW meter in hand !

Typically, brake lights are added by the owner, so there isn't a way we can tell what the previous owner did to the cart. Happy hunting!
