Default 05 Precedent sluggish

I've been troubleshooting this cart for a few months now. The cart has a 500 amp Alltrax Controller, stock motor, 4 ga wires, 6"lift, 23" tires. I replaced the batteries, 4 x 12V Trojans last fall. The batteries are strong, have load tested each independently. Consistently have 51-52V after charging.

The issue is that it doesn't perfom as well as it did before the old battery pack went south. It also, on occasion, stutters when taking off usually right after a charge cycle. It will only stutter for a few seconds, then runs OK. It has lost about 4-5 mph on top end and some torque as well.

I have read all of the related posts and it appears to be between the MCOR and the speed sensor on the motor. I've ohmed out the MCOR and it appears to read the 0-5K. Just looking for some advice if there is anything else I can check before just springing for a new part.

Takes a while to break new batteries in, give it about 30 cycles.

Fishing Dude is correct the new batterys break in take time, Trojan says 50 to 100 discharge charge cycles before peak performance ia available. Some things that many owners do that causes loss of valuable life and range on new batterys is trying cart out with new batterys BEFORE CHARGING FULLY and discharging pack below 75%-80% before recharging? I always plug charger in and leave on until next use regardless of how little I may have used cart that day. Is it possible that you purchased the T-1260 140 amp hour rather than T-1275 150 amp hour rated new batterys as well? Does not sound like much but price difference might be welcome?

The new batteries are Trojan T-1275's and have had about 25 charge cycles since installation. I plug the charger in and leave it for the full cycle each time.

The biggest concern is the sluggish when it starts off. It doesn't always do it, but with the pedal to the floor it feels like I am pumping the gas pedal until it finally stops and picks up speed.

I have one question in your posts you talk about testing MCOR and that "IT APPEARS TO OHM OUT AT 0-5 Ohms" The CC MCOR is a 5-0 OHMS unit? I sure hope that your Alltrax unit input is correct? I would do another ohms test on MCOR and run through the throttle slowly and look for dead spots or skips in readings. That would mean its defective and needs replacement.

On the MCOR, I probably got it backwards on the 5k - 0. I didn't notice any flat spots or skipped readings. It may be that the microswitch is intermittent in there causing the sluggish or hesitation? Just guessing at this point. I'll go back and check it again.

I will try the OBC reset procedure suggested as well.

Thanks for the help guys!!

My good buddy Bamadozier on this same forum had the exact same symptoms with the Alltrax controller. Being a Dealer-Only technician I can't help with the All-Trax stuff. But I guarantee you that's where the problem lies.
