Solid state conversion & 48v Upgrade Project
I'm about to undertake the task of doing a solid state conversion and 48v upgrade on my 88CC resistor cart. The cart currently is 36v with a 6" Allsports A-arm lift and 22-11-12 tires. I have a rear seat and HD spings on the rear.
I will try my best to photo-document the entire process starting with the deconstruction of the present configuration. I placed an order yesterday with Scotty of Carts Unlimited for the components to complete the transformation. I can't express how much help Scotty has been in advising me on this project. We came up with the following list of components for the build: 480amp 36-48v non-programable controller HD 200/800amp solenoid(resistor and diode) Curtis PB-16 Potentiometer(0-5K) Custom 4g cable set 48v on-board charger with AC receptacle Digital LED battery meter I'll be starting the deconstruction this afternoon. Much more to follow.... |

Re: Solid state conversion & 48v Upgrade Project
Thanks for the advice. After I receive the components, I plan to lay everything out and write out a plan to go by...sort of like a blueprint of the project.

Re: Solid state conversion & 48v Upgrade Project
I have confidence in BT. He has a plan and tech support if he should need it. That's sort of a plan and a backup plan Tear that silly 5 solenoid system down to the frame and lets build it back solid state 48v like it should be
Pics would be nice ~ Especially for the members who can't read! |
