Re: speedometer recommendations
A bicycle speedometer is cheap and easy. I used epoxy putty to attach the magnet to the left front hub and the pickup to the spindle. Then ran the wire through a small hole. You could use one of the wireless models, if you don't mind the extra batteries. Velcro it to the dash or a mounting bracket. It's programable for wheel size and is pretty accurate by my GPS.
If you aren't happy with it, then buy one of the high dollar golf cart or ATV models. You're only out of a few dollars and your time! Mine has been working for a couple of years with no problems. |

Re: speedometer recommendations
Aint't it though. Especially when they range in price from 10 to $200+ and all look pretty much the same. Don't see that the bicycle ones have any provision for power other than the internal watch battery. All of the others do as far as I can tell. I bought the Trail Tech kit from a BGW member who had an extra for $75. He had called Trail Tech and they verified that they make the EX-Ray. I'd rather spend $75 than $200.
