99 48volt club car
I have a 99 48 volt cart that is not moving more than an inch f/r and have checked all bat and got 51v and 8.5 on each bat. cleaned v glide and f/r lever. I have got 51v on both sides of silenoid and the batts are new. I am stumped and don't know what else to try any help whould be great. Thanks again i am new at this.

Welcome badluck, I am sorry to say but moving 1 inch either way is indicative of a bad controller.... looks like more badluck

chances are no, i agree better chance its a controller but it sure won,t hurt to jump the solenoid to see what happens..........................

Going to try jumping solenoid this afternoon and i have also read that the OBC could cause this same problem. I will let you know what i find out once i jump the solenoid. Thanks again for the help.

Abad solenoid will do that.Its dropping out and if it still has the original one in it I would go that route first.It will even click but its just kinda weak.

Okay here is what i got after i jumped the solenoid , The dioed is shorted and no good now going to get replacement tomorrow but i was checking the voltage on the small post on the solenoid that comes from the forward limit switch (white /black) wire and i was getting only 1 volt Ref to ground and i don't know if this is correct, but originally it would just bump f/r 1 time until you would turn the key off /on then it would do the same again. I have taken the obc out of circuit and seen it had a burnt spot on it could this have been my problem all along. Thanks i am just trying to help a friend out.

If that diode is bad it wont run PERIOD. You also need to check the micro in the wiper speed switch to see if it is burnt also.

Okay took wiper off and cleaned real good micro is working and i even took back side off and checked resistance.
Starting from bottom 1-2=900 ohms 2-3=756 ohms 3-4=756 ohms 4-5=976 ohms 5-6=956 ohms 6-7=991 ohms The ser# A9928-777228 is on this unit which leads me to belive it is a 99 ds model. Don't know if this is right. Thanks for the help so far. |
