Default Re: CART NOT MOVING AT ALL.

I have a 1991 Club car.
I ran it so low we had to be towed home.
Now it does nothing after many times trying to charge it.
I have a reading of 37.0 volts across the batteries, I press the pedal to the floor and it drops to 35.5. No movement at all!
Now I did jack up the rear so tires were off the ground, And yes it did turn the tires over at that point.
Can someone kindly help.
Thx so much
Michael

Try this.......

Controller output test: Hook the red probe to the B+ on the controller and the black probe to the M- on the controller. As you depress the pedal, you should read voltage across those 2 terminals of the controller.

Check the power output from the controller by connecting the negative probe to the controller's M terminal and positive to the B+ terminal. Press the accelerator and watch to see if the voltage increases. It should increase from a reading of 0 to the full voltage of the battery. If the motor is not turning, the problem may be in the directional switch or motor. The controller is bad and must be replaced if there is no voltage.

I now have some test to do, but as a newbie in golf cart repair is it possible to have a diagram of the controller. Or is it safe to say the controller is marked?
Please direct me.

Thanks
Michael

Well next obstacle, I think I found my "speed controller" on my 1991 club car. Would it be the black box shaped like a V or slice of pizza? Corner down ( Looks like the pedal linkage is attached)
Wide end on top.
If so, it's not label
What I have From right to left
Nut w/black wire
Nut w/Blue wire
Nut w/Green wire
Nut w/Yellow wire
Nut w/Red wire
Nut Black
Nut Blank
Nut Blank
Nut w. white wire.

Can someone kindly tell me were M is and B+ is .

Again I thank all of you for helping me out

Michael

Here is a picture that will show you exactly where the controller is. The Blue and white rectanguler shaped component in the picture is the controller. If yours is stock it will be black and silver but still located in the same spot. If you are looking at it from the back of the cart, the bus bars should be on the left side of the controller and they should be labeled.
