Default My 84 just melted a wire

I never had a problem at all with this cart one bit. Now today i took it out just to go to church about 1/4 mile away. I got there and had really bad smell coming from it. I lifted the seat and under it where the wire comes from the Forward Reverse module to the selenoid was melted right at the selenoid. The selenoid is cool, but the post was really hot and melted about 3 inches of insulation right at the nut.

Now no other part is bad, and as I said the wire remained cool, and the selonoid body also remained cool. So what is wrong?. Do I have to replace the sel?

Probably a loose or rusted connection, at 300-400 amps these are big welders if anything gets loose or corrodes !
