testing a controller for 48v regen II

how can I test a controller for regen II to see if it is bad and needs replace.
i checked the throttle and it is ok. The solinoid is bad but i can get around that. Please advise.

Hi all
I joined not to long ago and I have a 1996 club car regen type and it would be nice to know how to test a speed controller if there is a way. Also the throttle does it work on resistance or what? I checked mine no resistance and no continuity.

I believe theres a tutorial on controllers on that "other" site. Also I think alltrax has a controller test on thier site.

check and see if you have power going to the motor with a test meter, if so then the controller is good, and check the voltage going into the controller, should be the red wire.

I am two weeks into this golf cart addiction. I bought a regen 2 that’s not working and here is what I have done. #1 get a proper wiring diagram there's on at wellington. After confirming 48 V battery source, with the key on, run/tow to run. Check the blue wire going into the V-glide for voltage, this then runs thru a microswitch that opens when the accelerator is at 0. When you step on the accelerator the microswitch will close (you will hear it) sending a status voltage to the controller. Check this voltage on the green/white coming out. If there’s no power check the $4 microswitch. If you’re good to here, take your voltmeter and check the voltage between the white wire a2 on the motor and red wire a1 on the motor. You should see 5 Volt @ zero accelerator and 48 Volt @ full accelerator I am told. I got pissed off and tore my cover off the controller and found that someone chased their ball into the drink with their cart and the speed controller is now a box of corrosion. So now I have an Alltrax DCX300PDPLus on the way, thanks to eBay. Hope this helps.

anyone know where I can locate a Regen 2 harness? The 23 pin plug to controller is no good, or maybe just the plug and I can splice, thanks
