Default 05 CC Precedent no reverse????

As I was installing my new Speedylink, I inadvertently crossed the 2 large terminals on top of the motor and sparks flew. I used a pliers so I would not harm the wires, that is what crossed the two terminals to spark.

Forward is fine but, when in reverse, and step on accelerator, slight lunge forward and selinoid clicks off.

Can anyone tell me what I screwed up.

I had my tape measurer fall between the A2 & F2 terminals on the motor and I lost forward and still had reverse. It ended up that it took out the speed controller when it sparked. There was another member that just had the same problem about a week ago, he also had a spark at the motor while working on it and lost reverse. He ended up getting a controller from Robby at PlumQuick just as I did. Give them a call and they will have you fixed up in a jiffy.

SORRY TO SAY but you may have ruined your controller CC part # 10280621 $669.12? If you didnt have either forward or reverse I would say possible motor or wiring damage but in your case I'm afraid its controller? Maybe some one well versed in IQ can give you a way of testing?
05CLUB Maybe 1BDPRECEDENT or some forum member would be willing to sell you a take off controller? This is why we always recommend doing proper shut down for safety sake before doing anything to cart electric? Nothing done is too much when it comes to safe use of tools near batterys? If you have ever had one blow up in your face or burn a watch or ring off your finger, or worse yet damage your cart????
#1 Turn run tow switch to tow, #2 remove pack ground cable and tape to keep from shorting out, #3 remove positive pack cable and tape as before, #4 cover battery pack with some thing ( I use old fender cover ) so no metal can touch battery connections. When working in battery compartment I would go even further and make diagram of cables and "UNHOOK ALL CABLES" so all you need to worry about would be one battery. I cover all unneeded parts of wrenches with electrical tape or as some do get insulating dip that covers metal.
