Default Motor rattling noise

This is the 05 CC 48 volt that Im switching from a regen to a DS. I have it running fine (thanks to the knowledge from this forum). My issue now is with a rattling sound coming from the motor/ rearend. I have changed out the rearend oil twice. And the noise didn't change. This is a used DS stock motor, Is there any kind of item that goes on the spline inbetween the motor and rearend? The motor did bolt up solid. And is still tight.

For your 2005 CC you need Drive unit Bumper part #102235201 and lubricant #102243403 which is proper amount for unit unless there has been a change in tube amounts? In your 2005 DS case its not needed to glue bumper into place, only 1992-1999 models.

Please Help...
OK, I finally got the part, removed the motor, tthen attempted to install the part...the motor had a 1/2" gap and would not bolt up tight..in fact I broke the ear that has the 5/16 bolt on the end of the motor...yuk. I still had the old regen motor and the end ring is the same. So I removed the end ring from the regen motor then installed it on the DS mottor. Then I noticed the DS motor had a retaining ring in the end of the spliline and the end was longer than the regen motor. I took the end of the DS motor all apart and the part (anti rattle) looks like the one in the thumbnail above. only the thumbnail didnt show a retainer ring.
So, Im guessing that this is an "older motor" dooes the large spline part of the motot armature come off? that would allow me to swap it out with the original regen motor? Or do I need to get a different part to eliminate the rattling noise.

Thanks

It took me many times reading the instructions on on the thumbnail, but By Joe I think I might be understnding it...(real Sccary) I have this type of motor and the guide ring wasnt glued in. I the guide ring was able to move around under the snap ring. So the reasoning behind the input shaft is to keep the guide ring aligned with the splines. Any recomendations on glue to use? How does this actually stop the rattling nooise?

Sorry for the long delay, I work with ARC and spent many weeks at the MS tornadoes.
The rubber bumper part didn't help. I still have the exact same noise.
While I had this motor out and apart I noticed some damage from the stator rubbing the inside of the armater. Could this mean that the bearing on the end of the motor could be the reason for the motor noise? The bearing felt good but I really wasnt sure what I needed to look for.
Thanks for the help
