ok put your thinking caps on (please)
i had to hook up a second + power to the switch (1985) to make it work so i was think why? the + power from the controller should be enough . So i put the 1993 switch back in and hooked up a second + power (+ bat to the blue wire from controller) and it works no drop to 0 but it is very very slow the same goes for reverse. so it's not the f+r switch

is it that @@@@ controller??

hey just logged in glad to see your making progress :)

um going slow in both directions is bad, is it quite jumpy or smooth but slow??

iv gone through 5 controllers this week lmao, i hate the things so im just going to build my own h bridge...

measure the voltage across the armature before running and after and same for field.

also put a multimeter across one battery and see if the voltage drops a good bit when its trying to go and see if it stays there, and relay the levels here :)

edit: im having terrible trouble with mine atm have 4 weeks left to complete the poxy project :/ so i wish u all the best m8 :)

yea its smooth but it's slow you have to use your foot to push start but if i take off the second power feed (that i put in) it drops to 0 and won't move

this is a good motor i pulled it out of the 1985 cart that was working in fact i need to put it back together i use it daily

idea...

does it have a speed sensor on the motor to controller?

if so check that and see if its working correctly and getting its supply.
