When you put it in forward or reverse you get a click and nothing else.
This cart has new batterys (6 months old). They read around 6 volts each.
What would be your ideas?
Many times a solenoid can still click and be bad. Even trying to jump across posts a solenoid sometimes won't work. Replace the solenoid first before trying other options. I'm pretty sure that will do it. I've fixed these carts for years, and I've never seen a motor go bad unless it was severly abused. Sounds like your batteries are good, and connections are all good. One other thing, check the microswitch in F/R control and in speed box.

So yep the controller was bad

if i want to make the motor go faster can i just buy field windings to make this happen?? or do i have to buy a high speed motor?
