Default 93 36v resisto club car options

I have a 93 36v resistor type club car. The cart has new batteries, and is completely wired in 4ga. The cart runs great and every connection is extremely clean and tight. The cart has an after market 3.5hp motor (on 36v, 4.6hp on 4, now ive been thinking about adding a 6v or two to the cart, method of charging is not a problem. im just not sure about how im going to go about hooking it up. I know the weak link in the cart is the v glide and resistors (especially with the higher HP motor) . I already have Full Throttle on my v glide wired directly to the motor to completely bypass the resistors. But is there a way that i can wire the extra 6 or 12v so that it doesnt pass through the resistors or v glide? like run the cart normally on 36 and at full throttle activate a 48v solenoid with the added batteries after the vglide and resistors? Or would i be able to beef up the v glide and add some thicker resistors to handle the extra voltage? Also what is the minimum voltage a 48v solenoid will activate? I was thinking of just adding an extra 6v and replace the 36v solenoid with the 48v i already have, but i dont know if it will activate on 42v.
Sorry for the lengthy post
And i really appreciate any help in advance.

why not just upgrade and change to controller and pot and do away with resistors and v-glide............than the sky is the limit................with a resistor cart your always gonna be limited..............................

Yeah i know im limited with the resistors, but the controller conversion isnt worth it to me right now. I am a golf cart mechanic and would just like to improve the current setup...for now.

Most solenoid will activate at lower voltages. They just tend to burn up at higher voltages.
