speed controler question
i have a 48v powerdrive that's slow. I decided to test the voltage at the motor at WOT and i'm only getting half pack voltage if i'm doing it right. Maybe i'm missing something but if i test from the B+ to the M- while driving shouldn't i get the the full pack voltage and WOT? I tested it with the key on, the A2 disconnected from the motor and the lever in the N and got 33-36, flip the lever to F or R and i get 49. If i depress the pedal nothing happens to the voltage, just stays 49. If i hook the A2 on the motor back up and drive it i get about half the pack voltage. I thought maybe it was the "half speed" limit switch but if i reach down and raise the lever on the switch the cart just creeps so i would have to assume it's working like it's supposed to but i'm still only getting half pack voltage at WOT. i did test the input voltage by taking a voltage reading from the small red wire to the B- and got full voltage. Anyone have any ideas before i buy a speed controller?

Re: speed controler question
i'm getting between 5.8k and 6.2k from the pedal....any more ideas before i change the speed controller? everything points to the speed controller but i would think the speed controller would either work or not....but i guess anything is possible.

Re: speed controler question
ok...so now i'm really confused. i go get another 48v powerdrive series motor just like the one i'm having problems with. i test the pedal on it and get 14k and 47v on the output at WOT. im thinking my meter is messed up so i change the battery...same result. so i go get another meter....same result....14k and 47 on the good cart 6k and 26v on the bad cart. i take the speed controller and hook it up in the bad cart same result. so i'm down to why is the good cart at 14k when it should only read 6k? 2 meters same result....i'm testing the purple and yellow wires on the 3 prong connector. WTF am i missing here.....i was going to swap the pedals out but that looked like a pain but i guess i'm gonna have to unless someone can point out the obvious that i'm missing.
