Default OBC functions

I have a 1998 Club Car DS. I have been trouble shooting for a while. Im sure many of you know this, but I do not. Will someone tell me what all does the OBC do for a Club Car DS? Thanks for all your help.

well it regulated the charge of the batteries, controls the warning light,
Memorizes battery charge usage/rates .
Allows U to go on vacation and leave charger connected , it comes on every 13 days to
check battery condition and charge as needed.
Shuts charger off after 16 hours if batteries did not reach full charge , to prevent additional battery damage.
Oh yeah and cost U $150-$200 every 10-15 years, to replace.

Would be nice huh? But I've seen people on here break battery cost down by year and put it in perspective and they aren't just a ton of money that way. Unfortunately we can't pay for them @ $60 bucks a year vs. the cost of a pack all at once.

Thats true, that is why I'm starting a new company called SMYM or
S_ave M_oney Y_early M_aintanence.
The way it works you send me money each Year for 5 Years, at the end of which time I return it to you for Batteries.
It's like a golf cart savings account.
