Default 2006 Precident motor breaking

How do you turn off motor breaking I would like to install a switch to be able to turn it on off? A neighbor has his turned off not sure if it a program setting or mechanical.
The three wires on the back of the motor are they power, ground and pulse do you know which one is what, how many pulses per rev.

welcome, on the older carts it was just a matter of cutting the green wire on the harness that went into the motor but i don,t know if its the same with the newer carts so you might want to wait for someone who knows for sure..............................................

Program change, the dealer can do it .

One of the site sponsors sells a (Speedy Link) dongle which may allow a switch, worth a call.

Cutting the pulses is the right idea.... however, on the 2006 Precedent (IQ System) if the controller doesn't sense any pulses, it defaults to "limp-mode" The only way to eliminate motor braking completely is to change the magnet to a half pulse magnet, such as the setup PLUMQUICK uses on their motors... This allows the car to reach it's full potential before motor braking can take effect.
