Aluminum Frame: Spray Cleaner?
My 1993 Club Car is all Aluminum underneath. Is there a good spray cleaner like a light detail acid that will shine this all back up and spray off with water?
Something made for aluminum? |

Ditto to Roady. That's what I've used. It's a great product.

Re: Aluminum Frame: Spray Cleaner?
Try Zep-A-Lume from Zep Products. Its' made for cleaning aluminum on semi-trailers.Its' one of the best(and strongest) availiable. Most Heavy Truck/Trailer suppliers carry it or something close.Use rubber-gloves,spray it on a small area at a time, scrub it and rinse it within a minute or two.The results will speak for themselves.

Re: Aluminum Frame: Spray Cleaner?
Call your local chemical company and ask about Aluminum-Brite. It actually etches the aluminum down to a like new finish. It's the most amazing thing I've ever used.

Re: Aluminum Frame: Spray Cleaner?
The "real" Aluminum-cleaners such as Zep,Aluma-Brite,etc.. are best used mixed with water,or you can put it in a chemical-safe spray bottle(it will eat the valve in a regular spray-bottle)and spray the area. They contain Sulfuric,Hydro-Chloric,and Muriatic acid.It will make the aluminum look brand-new.Just watch painted surfaces. For normal oxidation, spray it on,wait a minute, and hose it off.For grime,etc..scrub it with a soft brush and rinse. The Aluminum-Wheel cleaners most parts places sell is very dilluted. We bought some Aluminum Prep-Wash from a welding-supplier to clean aluminum before welding and it was so weak it was like water,A good cleaner will foam white almost immediately after it contacts aluminum.Hope this helps.
