Default 12V vs 8V Batteries

I read a earlier thread ( a year ago or more) on the pros and cons of 12V instead of 8V Batteries but cannot find it nor remember (crs) the good and bad.
Would appreciate any and all thoughts on this subject.

Basic answer is shorter battery life, shorter run time between charges, Lower power curve, need to remake battery holders. This was why CC went back to 8 volt batterys.

Do a search, lots of threads on this, 8V cost less, have greater run time, and life. Stay away from 12v systems.

Your charger will not work right... and you will have problems.
