Default 6" Lift Kit Help Needed

I am extremely new to this and am diving in head first. I purchased an 08 CC Precedent and am wanting to make sure I install my Jakes 6" lift correctly. I have installed the front spindle kit and everything went smoothly. I am now working my way to the rear end. My question is; Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the rear end and motor from rolling over when you go to drop the leaf springs? I don't want to mess anything up on my cart.

Can you unhook and rehook 1 side at a time? I don't have a jakes but thats how I did mine. Had to unhook the brake cable brackets and adjust for lenght also. Good luck.

Disconnect the batteries while you are working on this, in case the motor were to role forward it helps prevent some sparkage.

I appreciate the help. I was actually trying to follow the directions with it being my first time. They state to disconnect both sides. I'm with you daringdom, that one side makes more sense.

Thank you too Lost Husker. As soon as I get the HD spings in, I'm going to finish the job.

I've read that some have to get longer bolts for the HD springs.
