i hope you don,t mind me posting this but since i did get to take a ride on a 36 volt slow moe i have to tell you guys about my day...........took the dogs to camp friday so saturday morning i decided to go have breakfast left camp at 7.50 am......got in the truck and bingo nothing my starter crapped itself while sitting overnight.........well i yanked the starter got a riide and 130.00 dollars and 2 hours later and i,m on the road to the diner.......get 15 miles from camp and WAP fuel pump decides to go on vacation........keep in mind this fuel pump is 5 months old with maybe 6000 miles on it and its a GM 500.00 complete unit.........well i learned the hard way that on saturday in andover, or ashtabula or meadevill if its after 12 noon you can,t rent a car anywhere you can,t even rent a u-haul....yes i was going to get a u-haul if i had to so me and the dogs could get homei did try for amish horse and buggy but couldn,t even get that..................i spent 6 hours on the phone and had people riding me all over the world and had 0 luck.......at 7 pm a buddy stopped by who lives in ohio and offered me the use of his extra car to use as long as i needed we just had to make the 2 hour trip to get it which i gladly did.................coming home at i have no idea what time it was but i get pulled over by police for a brake light.........oh joy.........anyways i got home and my truck made it home sometime in the middle of the night on the back of a flatbed...............what a great day it was......... SO how was your day....

Wow, that's a day you want to forget but will probably remember. Is it possibly a mid-90's Chevy pickup? My neighbor has one and has gone through 3 fuel pumps in the past year. He and I took our sons and some of their friends camping a couple of months ago. He drove his Chevy and I drove my dodge. We stopped at a store on the way there to grab some food and his truck wouldn't restart. He banged on the fuel pump area with a hammer until it started working again and got it going. We camped for the weekend, about 40 miles from home, and the morning we were leaving, he started his truck up first thing and just let it run for an hour or so while we were packing up. We got about half way up the 2 mile dirt road we were on and it just died. There we were with 2 pickups loaded with gear and 6 adolescent boys hopped up on pepsi and powdered donuts. No way we could get back in one vehicle. I ended up towing him all the way home with a not-so-long tow strap he happened to have. Very illegal and probably not very smart but we made it without getting caught and without him plowing into the back of my truck.
