Default Torque question

I put 12in wheels and low profile tires on my CC. The total hieght is about the same as stock. Will I lose any torque doing this?

No. The ride will be firmer because of the shorter tire sidewall, that is all.

The amount of power to get your tires rolling is dependant on 2 main factors. The radius of the tire and any resistance (drag) encountered. The resistance can be found in lubrication, dragging brakes, tire inflation, width (how much rubber meets the road), slope and type of the terrain and weight of the cart. Your question is on the tire size which would effect the radius. The further the distance from the center of the wheel to the outside of the tire, the more power needed to turn it. Think of the playground see saw. Fat kid on one side and a skinny kid on the other. The closer to the center the fat kid gets the less force needed on the skinny kid side to lift him. As tire diameter gets bigger, the fat kid is sliding further out.

Since your radius is the same that part of the equation won't change. I'm guessing that the air pressure of the low profile tires is higher and they are about the same width as the originals, so you might actually get better performance!
