stripped stud on mag wheel
My lug nut turns with the stud. I don't have much room to work with. I can not remove the wheel. Any Ideas?

Re: stripped stud on mag wheel
Is it the front or rear wheel?
If it's the front: The only thing I know you may try is taking the spindale off the cart. If you get the wheel and hub off cut the head off the back side of the hub and knock it out with a punch and hammer. This way you save the hub. Go to NAPA and get new stud, hammer it back in and go about your buisness. |

I drilled out a few with pretty good success on the rear.

Re: stripped stud on mag wheel
Thanks for the quick responses... It is the rear wheel. Drilling seems like a long a hard rout. Is there anyway to take the wheel, hub and all off and get to it though the back?

Re: stripped stud on mag wheel
Start with an 1/8" bit and center drill it, then to 1/4" then to 1/2" if your bits are sharp it shouldn't be that long.
No instant gradification here i'm afraid........ |

Re: stripped stud on mag wheel
how about a dremel tool with a small cut off wheel on it, to cut off the lug nut?
