all depends on which brand you buy.........all wire up different...............

The best in my opinion is the total pack voltage to 12 volts because first of all it gives you higher amps available and second draws pack down evenly, not just a couple of batterys.
I personally like the extra 12 volt battery like I use that is for my handicap scooter use and is sealed so mounting is no problem and its much smaller 7.5"X5.5"X7.5" and has more than enough for normal lighting etc ( UNLESS you user a winch often ) and in many cases is cheaper than volt reducers.
