The digital meter should be wired by diagram that should have come with unit as I dont know of a universal diagram? If you didnt get diagram contact seller for correct info. As to 12 volts you can only get 8 volts ( one battery ) or 16 volts ( two batterys in series ) on a 48 volt cart, what you need is a voltage reducer unit that takes 48 volts down to 12 volts.

The PDF is the manual for the Curtis LED meter. It includes connections and troubleshooting.

I don't know if we can stickie something like this. Questions about the meter come up often enough to warrant having it close at hand. It is a small file.

Thanks Scotty B for the diagram it worked. I have one last question the cart had front headlights when I got it I added 2 tail lights I wired all the positives together and all the negatives together which are wired to the original cables that were on the battery and hooked up to the aux switch.

Now when all the switch is on the on position all lights work, when I switch it to off position safety fuse blows..

Originally with headlights only it had a 25amp fuse now that I have head & tail lights do I needed a higher amperage so that it does not blow??

Thanks in advance!

if its wired right you shouldn,t even need a fuse, dosn,t hurt to have one but i have seen many carts wired to 16 volts and not need a fuse..........................

Ok well I tried your idea with taking out the fuse and running direct

What happens is it works but when I turn the switch of it sparks the wires and looks like it will burn if I don't remOve,

The aux switch has 3 prongs
Middle one protrudes more then the other two,

Could I have them mix up only two are connected power and ground..???

does the cart have a voltage recucer? if not that has to be part of problem cause minimum is 16 volts, i know for sure that you can run lights off of 16 volts but anything other than lights ??????????? 3 prongs i think would be power, ground and light for the meter i would think.......the longer one may be the one for light.....have you tried with just hooking up the two? just be careful you don,t burn switch up maybe try off one 8 volt battery different ways to wire that shouldn,t hurt the switch......check for reducer............................

if the cart dosn,t have a reducer yes you can buy a 48 to 12 volt reducer.........that reduce down from 48 to 12 volt for running 12 volt acc,s and thats the way to go.............just keep in mind they sell a hundred different kinds so just don,t buy a 10 dollar one cause you get what you pay for....................................
