36V rewire
I'm replacing the batteries in my '85 36V & I'm going to replace the connecting wires also. Do I need 4 ga or 6 ga wires? The online stores seem to indicate 4 ga is only necessary if you're installing a souped up high-amp motor. Looks like the old wires are 4 ga, but do I really need 4 ga on a standard set up?

Re: 36V rewire
The cart was originally designed with 6g. It will work just fine.
#4g is only used when improved amperage flow is needed and then it is only as good as the smallest cable in the system It does little good to put 5 4g cables on the batteries if you still have 8 other old 6g cables running between the power pack, the F&R, and the motor. Hope this helps |

Re: 36V rewire
Thanks scottyb. Is there any particular order for reconnecting all the power wires?
