Motor rebuilders?
It seems there are lots of people building motors or modifying stock ones, i have found 4 so far im sure there are several others. Can anyone who rebuilds starters and generators do a cart motor?
Is there a standout builder or a local guy that has been tested and builds reliable motors that work as advertised? A local CC dealer told me he sells 25 MPH 48 volt motors for 300 bucks, the price sounds good and he has had great luck with them for 3 years. He would not tell me who builds them i think a local guy.....? |

Re: Motor rebuilders?
my local rewinder had no interest in reworking traction motors. plum quick has a solid reputation for quality rebuilds. their prices are very reasonable imo.

Re: Motor rebuilders?
Plum Quick makes a great rewind of your existing motor for $225 plus freight or an additional $100 if you don't have a core.
I'm a believer in supporting your local dealer first because he's the guy that is always there, will generally help you out more than anyone and $300 sounds like quite a deal. If you're confident with him, that would be the logical choice. |

Re: Motor rebuilders?
Where are you located at? You can look up -- EDIT --, though there isnt alot of information on our site, call to get more information. We actually build motors here for alot of the major manufactures like -- EDIT -- and more, along with build for retail customers.
