2005 CC Precedent electric
I have a 2005 CC Precedent that suddenly quit running after about 1/4 of a mile from my house. After sitting for about 5 minutes it would run until I let off the accelerater. Then after about 5 minutes same thing..run until i let off accelerator. Any help..batteries are 3 months old.

Re: 2005 CC Precedent electric
Always go back to basics first check all 6 guage cables for clean tight connections. Check each battery even though they are only 3 months old as some times they are defective and should be replaced at sellers expence. Test each battery for correct voltage ( 8 volts=8.49, 12 volts=12.73 volts ) and then total pack voltage ( 50.96 ). The most common problem with Precedents and DS IQ carts seems to be speed sensor on the out board end of motor? To test, turn on dash key and place F&R in forward and place TOW RUN switch in RUN postion then try to move cart by hand and if you dont feel drag then the sensor is bad?
If that checks out ok then it will be a proccess of elimination? |
