Default Battery Boil Over

Hey Guys it looks like the one of the batteries is boiling over and swelling the side of just this one battery. It seems to be the first battery in the system. It is the one with the power wire (positive) going right to the motor. The battery is not over filled. I have replaced all the wires with 4 gage and cleaned all the battery terminals. Is there a way to test my charger? If so are there some steps I can take to do that. Any help would be great.

Default Re: Battery Boil Over

First you need to check your batterys for voltage after having allowed charger tgo turn off on its own and waiting at least 2 hours ( more is better ). You need a digital volt meter and check each battery ( no need to unhook wiring ) each should read ( 6 volt ) 6.37 and total pack ( all batterys ) 38.22, ( 8 volt ) 8.49 and total pack 50.96.
Often when distilled water level is correct and its only one batterys it will give you bad readings and needs to be replaced.
The swelling of battery case is common and may not be a have anything to do with boil off.
If all batterys check out OK then you will need to check on charger so go to STICKIES and look under heading "Complete Manual For Power Drive Charger" as it shows complete tests for any problem.
