aftermarket mods?
New to the mod world. lIn the process of liftting a 05' club car ds. i am using a allsports 6" a-arm lift. plan on using 12" wheels and all terrain tires. also installing a rear seat kit. i plan on using plum quick or d&d motor with new controller. what do i need to do to gain more speed and torque. do i need to do anything to the obc. the cart is mainly used around the house and on vacations at the campground at the beach.

Re: aftermarket mods?
Gaining speed and torque at the same time is hard to do as motors are wound for one or the otherbeyond a certain point? If you want speed you need larger diameter tires MATCHED WITH the MOTOR HP and higher amp rated controller ( go by MOTOR BUILDER for correct controller amp rating ). You also need at least 4 guage multi stand count welding cable throughout to replace 6 gauge cables. I know the cart looks great lifted but by doing so you cut speed some what by creating more wind drag and making it mor etop heavy? By adding rear seat you have 2 problems, #1 is additional weight and load carrying capacity and more wind drag, #2 you often need to add at least one additional spring leaf on rear to keep from rear tires rubbing that slows cart down even more?
